THE JOURNEY
Lesli Pringle Burke’s creative journey began in Minnesota, nurtured by a family of creatives who instilled in her a deep appreciation for beauty and expression from an early age.
For nearly three decades, Lesli thrived in the beauty industry, never letting go of her artistic spark. Throughout those years, she explored painting, photography, textiles, and more- enriching her natural talent through countless workshops and courses. During this time, she also spent nine years teaching art at a private elementary school, sharing her love for creativity with young minds.
In 2010, Lesli made the bold leap to pursue art full-time. Four years later, she relocated to the vibrant arts hub of St. Petersburg, Florida, where she immersed herself in the city’s dynamic creative scene by opening a studio in the historic Crislip Arcade on Central Avenue. As the neighborhood evolved, she transitioned to a home studio, where she continues to work today.
Lesli has primarily been self-taught, but she has continually sought growth through formal programs. She earned her Intentional Creativity Certification in 2023 and, in May of 2025, became a graduate of the prestigious Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute- a transformative milestone in her artistic evolution.
Lesli’s work is grounded in mixed media- a harmonious fusion of oil, acrylic, ink, charcoal, spray paint, gold leaf, and paper collage, most often on canvas. Unafraid to experiment, she continually explores new materials and techniques, keeping her process alive and ever-evolving.
Her signature style, Magical Realism, invites viewers into enchanted worlds filled with vibrant people, wild creatures, and blooming florals. Each piece is a visual story- a reflection of love, hope, wonder, and the magic hidden in everyday life. Through her work, she encourages others to dream, feel, and imagine.
In addition to creating, Lesli continues to offer private lessons and workshops, guiding others to explore their own creative voices. Whether online or in local galleries, she shares her art with a growing audience, hoping to inspire connection, curiosity, and joy around the world.
